A survivor of Bessborough Mother and Baby Home, Susan discusses the lasting effects that institutionalized systems have on those who have been touched by them. She shares her personal experience of being adopted at two weeks old and how the adoption system in Ireland is designed to remove all agency from the adopted person, including the ability to discover any other family members.
