La Fundacion 26 de Diciembre is both a community center and living space. The purpose of the foundation is care and housing support for older LGBT people in Madrid. The foundation opened its doors in February 2014. La Fundacion brings personal and collective stories together by creating a platform that gives a voice to previously invisible representations of aging, care and activism. This community proactively creates new solutions for the challenges it faces.
