Liz's childhood was characterized by a difficult relationship with her 'perfect' mother and unsuccessful operations on her pointed foot. Liz freed herself from this by moving to a boarding school. The 16-year-old spent many years there and also made friends. But when one day she feels denied by Robert, her first great love, she returns to her mother.
