Biography

David Finlay is a German-born American professional wrestler signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), joining the promotion in March 2026 after leaving New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), where he competed from 2015 to 2026. In NJPW, Finlay led Bullet Club from 2023 until the faction’s disbandment in early 2026 and became a two-time and longest-reigning IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion, with a record 245-day second reign. He also won the New Japan Cup in 2025 and, alongside Juice Robinson as FinJuice, they won the World Tag League in 2019 and became one-time IWGP Tag Team Champions, while Finlay is also a one-time NEVER Openweight Champion and a one-time NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Champion with Ricochet and Satoshi Kojima. Outside NJPW, he is a one-time TNA World Tag Team Champion with Robinson and one-time POW Junior Champion. He is the son of retired Irish professional wrestler David Finlay Jr.
