Biography

Shyamal Gupta (3 December 1922 – 28 July 2010), was a legendary lyricist, composer, and music artist of modern Bengali romantic songs of the latter half of the 20th century. He was one of the most popular lyricists of Bengali songs from the 1950s to the 1970s.
