Biography

With close to 20 years experience working in film and television, Danny Berish is an award-winning film director. In 2014, he co-founded Black Rhino Creative, a documentary film production company dedicated to pushing the boundaries of traditional storytelling. A passion for finding the human spirit in every film, he has created content for broadcasters such as CBC, YTV, AMI, Discovery Channel, IFC and CTV. Danny’s recent achievements include a six-part Indigenous food and travel series Red Chef Revival, currently being distributed internationally by Marble Media. The series premiered at a special event screening at Hot Docs, and earned him a Leo Award for Best Direction.
