Biography

Antônio Soares Calçada was a Portuguese-Brazilian sports leader, former president of the Club de Regatas Vasco da Gama. Calçada was president of Vasco for 18 years (1983-2001), being the longest-serving representative in Vasco history. He is considered by many to be the most successful president in the club's history.
