Biography

Matt Halpern is a Grammy-nominated drummer and co-founder of the progressive metal band Periphery. He's known for his technical playing and deep grooves, and has won awards for Best Metal Drummer and Best Clinician/Educator from Modern Drummer. Halpern is also an entrepreneur and educator. He co-founded the drum sample company GetGood Drums with his Periphery bandmates, and created the online music lesson platform Band Happy.
