Biography

Manuel J. Peña is a Puerto Rican filmmaker, director, and producer, and the founder of MJ Production Films LLC. He began producing projects at a young age and has developed a body of work that spans independent cinema, television, and digital platforms. His work focuses on character-driven stories rooted in Puerto Rican culture, blending comedy, drama, and genre elements with a contemporary voice. In addition to directing, Peña is actively involved in film distribution and exhibition through MJ Production Films and the streaming platform MJ TV.
