Elizabeth Burkner Robbins, known as Liz Robbins, is an American climber, outdoor gear designer, and co-founder of the Royal Robbins Inc. brand. She was born in the 1940s and met her future husband, the renowned climber Royal Robbins, in Yosemite at Camp 4 in the 1960s. Liz, then a young climber, had moved to Yosemite Valley in search of a life of adventure. Liz Robbins was part of a group of climbers who advocated the ethic of "clean climbing," meaning climbing with the utmost respect for nature and without damaging the rock.
