Chapter 37

Andréa slaps Selma, who insists she's better in bed than her. At home, Andréa tears Bruno's clothes, soaks his shoes, and destroys his watches with a hammer. Bruno accuses Andréa of never having loved him; she retaliates, and Apolinário has to restrain him to prevent him from attacking his wife. Renato meets Coelho Leite, who insists he pay his debts. Selma tells Bruno that she sold Andréa's sketches to a Japanese designer. Soon, they may accuse her of making a copy. A few days later, Andréa is barred from her own company and informed that Bruno is the new owner.
